The shift in dominance comes at a strategically important time for Microsoft, as the official support for Windows 10 is set to end in October of this year. The company is ramping up efforts to encourage users to transition to the latest version of the operating system.
While the Statcounter data is not an absolute truth, as it is based on an analysis of website access using its tools, it serves as an important indicator of market trends. The development of Windows 11 has been consistent, with the system occupying around 30% of the market share just a year ago, while Windows 10 dominated with approximately 66%.
